'Going Up Garrowby Hill' by David Hockney (Sold out)

David Hockney's paintings of Sledmere, near Driffield in vivid colours, the fields & hedgerows surrounding such villages as Wetwang, Huggate and closer to his home in Bridlington have captured the imagination of locals and those from further afield unfamiliar with the area.

A Royal Academy exhibition on 2012 celebrated this work with paintings, drawings and video. The same exhibition which attracted 650,000 visitors in London has also been to the Guggenheim, Bilbao and to Cologne, Germany. In 2017, Tate Britain in London had a retrospective exhibition to coincide with David Hockney's 80th birthday, it too was a sell-out show.
